Biography:
Hi! My name is Shanirah, and I am a second-year student here at SRJC. I will be graduating with my Associate’s in Anthropology this upcoming spring and transferring to a UC. I am a photographer, and I enjoy going out to eat an unhealthy amount. I have been a Peer Coach for one year in the Welcome and Connect Center, and it has been a truly rewarding experience. When I first arrived on campus—24 hours before my first class—I found myself in the Welcome and Connect Center. Lost and a bit confused, I asked for a tour to see where my class would be. I received an impromptu tour, befriended my peer coaches, and was inspired to work here. I love helping students—whether it's scheduling, applying, or financial aid—it feels good to give back the kindness and assistance I've received to our ever-growing SRJC community.

Hours:

• Monday / Wednesday: 9am – 12:30pm
• Tuesday / Thursday: 12pm – 5pm
• Friday: 9am – 1pm
